Gas Appliance Installation Toronto
Gas appliance installation in Toronto is cooktop, oven, heater, BBQ and pool heater work, done by licensed gas fitters on new or existing lines. The price is fixed before we start, the line is tested before we go, and every job carries our 365-day warranty on all work.
Part of a full gas service. Every install runs alongside the wider work from your plumber in Toronto: new lines, bayonet points, leak detection and repairs come under the same trade licence. The full list is on our gas fitting hub.

Which Appliances Can We Connect?
Most households ring about one of five jobs. Each has its own line requirements, and we confirm the supply can carry the appliance before quoting:
- Cooktop and oven changeovers, where an older kitchen's line may be undersized
- Space heaters and wall furnaces, with new pipe runs from the meter where the house never had a point
- BBQ bays and outdoor kitchens, plumbed for gas rather than swapped between bottles
- Pool heaters, which need a sized line run out to the equipment
- Continuous-flow hot water units, covered in detail on our hot water hub
A smell rather than a fit job? Gas leak detection has its own page, and that work comes first if a line's safety is in doubt.
Fitting the Appliance, Step by Step
- 01
Start at the meter
Meter position, line size and the appliance's demand all get measured, because a cooker and a pool heater draw very different loads.
- 02
Quote the run
New pipe is measured along the route it will take, and whether it goes through walls or under floors sets the work involved.
- 03
Install and connect
The pipe is run, clipped and terminated, then the appliance is set, levelled and connected with the right fittings for the job.
- 04
Test before we leave
Every joint is pressure-checked with a gas detector, the appliance is lit and checked, and you see it working before we pack up.
What Shapes the Cost of the Job?
We provide up-front, honest quotes that will always match the final price, should you decide to go ahead.
From there, four things move the figure:
- The gas load, since a pool heater draws far more than a single cooktop and needs a bigger line
- The wall material, because drilling through fibro is a different job to brick veneer
- The distance from the meter, since pipe is measured by the metre
- Whether the work lands inside normal hours, because after-hours calls are priced differently
Gas Work in an Older Lakeside Town
Older homes change the job
The lake air has a say
What customers say.
"We had an urgent gas problem that required immediate attention at our home…on a Friday afternoon. … Identified the issue, fixed and tested" Lee
When We're Not the Right Call
An electric oven or an induction cooktop belongs to an electrician, not a gas fitter, so we point you to one, since that work sits outside our licence. If a new cooker faults once it's connected, the fault inside it is for the maker's service agent, after our test shows the connection is sound.
Gas Appliance Questions, Answered Here
Do you install gas cooktops in the units around town?
Yes. Unit installs usually mean working off an existing line with limited space, so we check the existing pipe can feed the new cooktop before quoting. Strata rules on where work happens are handled too, and the job is quoted before work begins.
Can you run a new line for a heater in an older Toronto cottage?
Many of the older homes close to the water were built without gas points, so a fresh run from the meter is the usual answer. We quote the route first: a house on stumps with a floor void is a quicker run than one sitting on a solid slab.
Is the gas work signed off when you finish?
Yes. Every install is pressure-tested with a gas detector in hand, and the paperwork is signed off as required for gas work in NSW. You get the details in writing with the invoice, which matters if you sell the property later.
Do you remove the old appliance as part of the job?
We disconnect the old unit and cap the line so it is safe. Anything else you want done with the old appliance goes on the quote, so nothing arrives on the invoice unannounced.
